Sharm El Sheikh is quite different from other resorts in Egypt. It is one of the most prestigious and expensive resorts on the Red Sea coast. There are very few two- and three-star hotels here, but there is an excellent selection of four- and five-star hotels. The standard of hotels and services here is higher than in Hurghada. Most of the hotels are built in the Arab style, but the number of stories in the buildings is limited by environmental protection laws.
When planning a vacation in Sharm El Sheikh, keep in mind that most of the resort’s beaches consist of coral and rocks, which make access to the water difficult. Those who don’t dare to dive deep can enjoy snorkeling or take a trip on a submarine or a glass-bottom boat. Adventure seekers can enjoy swimming with dolphins at one of Sharm El Sheikh’s dolphinariums.
