Hurghada – the main tourist destination
Hurghada is one of the most important tourist centers on the Red Sea coast. It developed from a small fishing village and is located 450 km from Cairo. The resort ranks among the top destinations in the world in terms of the number of hotels. The city, which has more than 200 hotels along its coastline, continues to grow.

The Hurghada resort consists of three centers: El Sakkala (where a small fishing village has given way to a new city center with many hotels and shops selling jewelry, leather goods, haberdashery, souvenirs, etc.), El Dahāra (the old part of the city, inhabited mainly by locals and with virtually no hotels) and the recently built, modern Village Road (a new district with hotels, shops, cafés, and bars stretching 5 km).
Hotels of various categories are located along the sandy beaches, which stretch for several dozen kilometers. If you enjoy strolling through a bustling Eastern market with its wide variety of goods after relaxing on the beach, then this resort is perfect for you. There are plenty of restaurants, cafes, and nightclubs here.
Hurghada has many seafood restaurants, Italian cuisine (delicious pizza), gourmet dining, and you can also enjoy Egyptian cuisine right on the beach.
